I like sunday, as most of the time we try to catch up on jobs around the house. It doesn't sound riveting or even remotely fun when you put it like this but...it's more about what you get to do after the chores are over and done with.
Read my favourite mags - Frankie and Australian Country Style. Both delight my senses in very different ways. Frankie makes me stand up to attention and take in all the funky clothing and jewellery that is being created at the moment, it allows me to feel at one with it's words and quirky photography. Most of all it gives me hope that my shop will do o.k. Australian Country Style engulfs me in a haze of fuzziness, scented by roses and accompanied by a choir of poultry and little wrens carrying pieces of lace and ric-rac back to their nests...okay I may have gotten a little carried away just then! It really inspires my strive to create amazing interiors and shop displays.
Freshly baked goods, sometimes cooked by me; mostly cooked by hubby. Todays treat is apple tea cake. Crumbly on top and yummy and soft through the middle. Oh, and did I mention we ate it warm and with a cup of freshly brewed organic coffee?
Wine, red to be exact. Annies Lane is my favourite. I quite like a drop of shiraz.
Oh, how I like sunday.
